About the Workplace

The Southern Lapland parish consists of the congregations of Dorotea-Risbäck, Stensele, Lycksele, Vilhelmina, and Åsele-Fredrika.

We are now looking for an economist

As an economist/controller, you will be part of the operations and management support team that works with finance, HR, communication, property, and administration. The team is responsible for providing support to the parish's five congregations and burial services.

You are a key person in the parish's operations and management support, contributing your broad knowledge in the finance and controlling area. You drive change and collaboration, all with a focus on creating value for the organization and contributing to a cohesive organization.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• Contact with the parish's managers
• Implementation of system support
• Some handling of payroll administration
• Leading and coordinating budget work
• Analysis and financial follow-ups
• Year-end closing and annual reports
• Driving financial improvement processes

About You:

You have a university degree in finance and experience working in a democratically governed organization. It is an advantage if you have several years of experience in the profession. We believe you are used to working independently and enjoy working both strategically and operationally with financial issues. You have a good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing and share the Church of Sweden's values.

We are looking for someone who is confident in their skills and proactive in their work approach. You have a good ability to build and maintain relationships, value collaboration, and can handle complex issues with a solution-oriented approach. Working structured and independently towards common goals is central to the role.
